The 17 km highway to Baghdad International Airport was one of the most strategic territories for the military operations during the wars in the last 2 decades which left this area as a symbol of the ruinous impact of war.

ARC-P Consult was appointed with the project management and supervision of the development and rehabilitation of this approx. $200M project. including the area around the Monument of the Unknown Soldier in the green zone.

The highway should be reconstructed and equipped with a complete irrigation and drainage system fed by numerous underground water reservoirs, beautified with more than 1 million plants, building 100 water fountains in different sizes, installing complete street lighting system with sub-stations, creating green spaces of over 1,5 million sqm.
